I Need to Signup for Bandmix San Diego Again

  1. Later on some frustration with Craigslist, I thought I'd spruce up my Bandmix profile a flake and do some searching.

I knew there was a "paid" option, but I had no idea (until now) that you had to pay to be able to contact anyone. I understand the whole financial viability matter for Bandmix, but I'd be curious to know the percent of paid accounts.

So, how many hither that have a Bandmix profile have a paid account?

Ane way to look at the benefit of paying to contact someone is that it weeds out the riff raff.

  2. Information technology's easy enough to sneak your contact info into your free profile ;) . Anybody too stoopid to practise that ain't somebody I'd want to play with anyways...
  3. Shame nearly that site, information technology's got a lot of potential just the pricing is all incorrect. You can't contact anyone or be contacted past anyone unless both parties are paying members. Membership is $13 monthly.. I hateful netflix is but seven bucks. Dumb. They could make a lot of money if they just dropped the price to $5 and allow non-paying members contact you with a paying membership. Dumbasses.
  4. Yep, I had seen one contour where they put their phone number. I wouldn't do that, but an alternate e-mail address would exist ok.

You would think that the website might be a little more than savvy and scan profile descriptions for telephone numbers and emails and censor them, simply and then again that would likely be a huge turnoff for a lot of people.

  5. I can see having to pay to contact someone, just once you lot pay, you lot should be able to contact both paying and not-paying members. And yes, the price is a little much. $60/yr would exist reasonable. Then over again, it's an investment in your arts and crafts.. If you're that serious, the current price shouldn't be an issue.

I wonder how many people don't know you have to pay to contact someone, or contact you, and are then disenchanted with the site considering they're not getting any contacts.

  6. Merely you need to be a little creative with an email address, as I have only discovered.

I but tried to add a hotmail address to my profile description and when you view my contour, the domain name is stripped off. Then I tried "name at hotmail.com" and information technology still stripped off the hotmail domain. So I used the following:

"send an email to my hot mail service acct using my screen name"

and it stuck. Of course, it requires the reader to empathize what I'm talking about, but I don't think information technology's that cryptic. Or is it?

  7. Non too cryptic for me, but I've done the same matter. Final time I was looking for a ring, I substituted "geemale" for "gmail". I got 1 response, then apparently at least i person understood what I was up to.
  8. What you have to sympathise is that some people may not have discovered what you lot discovered. I voted yep just here's what I did. Found a promising singer who didn't take any contact info. I didn't want to wait around and come across if she discovered me. Paid for 1 month. Actually now that I remember it there were 2 singers. Set up auditions for them both in which time I gave them my email adreess. Had the auditions, made our decision, deleted the account. She has been great and I would practice it again if I needed to. Just I have snuck my contact info in there before. Here's how y'all do it

  9. I think I used spaces to get mine to stick.. "dgrizzly [at] g thou a i l [dot] com" or something similar that.. I haven't had whatever luck with Bandmix though. CL is still the number one source I utilize to find new guys to jam with
  10. I recently went paid because of the contact issue and there were several I wanted to contact. Worked a lot ameliorate than CL for me. All I got were flakes from CL. Had my first rehearsal with a smashing bunch of like minded guys concluding night. I think I signed upwards for the 3 month deal. They clearly state that for "my convenience" it will automatically renew unless I cancel. I accept a reminder in my calendar to abolish when it comes up. I consider it a resonable investment.
  11. Turns out in that location'southward non much in my area anyway, so why bother.
  12. I had a contour for a while only didn't pay. I had a couple of hits but nothing panned out. I eventually deleted but was thinking near starting support. I retrieve the cost is loftier.

I have an account, I have my email masked as "[email protected] mail . com". I have my phone number just listed plainly correct in the ad.

Also, I accept never paid for an account but I have been contacted a couple times through the site in the past by paying members. Take they changed that policy?

Hither is my page by the way:

  14. My buddy has had no luck getting people to answer
    to an inquiry from bandmix.
Anyone tried a musicians referral service?
Some advertise $50 for three months where the listings
are for working bands looking for players.
  15. Paid for iii months. Auditioned iv very proficient lead guitar players. Constitute i and off I went.
  16. I discover the search function utterly useless. On this side of the pond zip codes are called postal service codes, so....put in my postcode (Due south London), specify "within 10kM" and information technology produces....Scotland! 600 miles away! Unless it's grave operator error on my part, of course.
  17. Did the paid Bandmix thing for 1 month, got some responses, nothing stuck though. Got a drummer off Reverbnation (gratis) and a guitarist of CL
  18. I have one, but I don't employ it any more. I think I notwithstanding get emails from them to the account I no longer use.....

I basically use my Bandmix page equally an electronic press kit. I exercise very piffling interacting with other Bandmix members...I employ the link to my folio when inquiring about gigs and stuff. It has a overnice format for but listing the important details and I can post a few tunes with my playing which is nice. The Reverbnation profile page is too busy and really geared for working bands more than private musicians in my opinion and you lot get barraged by all their promo stuff.
  20. Hither are some related products that TB members are talking well-nigh. Clicking on a production volition take you to TB'due south partner, Primary, where you tin can find links to TB discussions well-nigh these products.
